Ingredients:
- Chicken 300grms
- Briyani rice 1 cup
- Cloves 2
- Cinamon 2 small piece
- Fenel seed half spoon(sombu)
- Elachi (elakai) 3
- Cooking oil 5tsp
- Ghee 2 tsp
- Onion 1 big sliced
- Green chilli 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp
- Tomato 2 medium sized
- Turmeric a pinch
- Kashmiri chilli powder 2 tsp
- Dhaniya 2 tsp
- Curd 3 tsp
- Lemon half
- Mint leaves a hand full
Instructions:
- Soak a cup of basmati rice and keep it aside for a while say 1hr.
- Now meanwhile lets start the briyani . Heat a pressure cooker and pour in oil and ghee.
- Once the oil is hot add the spices cloves, fenel seeds, cinamon, elachi.
- Saute till cloves bluge and fenel seeds start to splutter .
- Now add sliced onions and chilli and saute till onion become golden brown and then add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell completely goes away.
- Now add in the tomatoes and mint leaves and saute till tomatoes become mushy.
- Now add the chicken and saute till the chicken becomes white.
- Then add in the spice powders chilli powder and daniya powder and turmeric and salt as per taste.
- Now mix them all well and saute till the oil seprates from the gravy.
- Now add curd to it and mix well.
- Then add in 3 cups of water and 1 cup soaked basmati rice .
- Lastly add some lemon and mint and corriander leaves then close the lid of pressure cooker
- Keep the flame in medium high amd let one whistle come the sim the flame and keep for 5 mins and turn off the stove.
- Once pressure is released open the lit and mix them all togather gently.
- Serve hot with onion raitha.
